Older Adults
If you’re an older adult dealing with the loss of a loved one, you’re feeling unseen or misunderstood, or your facing end of life issues then this is the space for you.
LOSS: Losing someone you love is the most painful event that can occur in a person’s life. Unfortunately, the people surrounding you might be saying all of the wrong things- some of them insensitive and others downright mean. In therapy with me, you can talk about your lost loved one, reminisce, and journey through what this new phase of life looks like for you. You will have unconditional support, and the freedom to process whatever you’re going through. If you would like to take steps towards feeling happier I will support you, but never rush you.
DIFFICULT RELATIONSHIPS: I often hear from older adults “they just don’t respect me anymore,” “they have all of these boundaries that I don’t understand,” or “my daughter-in-law doesn’t like me.” If you’re struggling with any of these, you are not alone. These are incredibly common struggles, that can feel very isolating. Together we can process how to have healthier relationships, and also protect your mental health in the process.
